Kerwin L. Felix- Founder, Manager, Keyboardist
AKA The Maestro, Kerwin comes from a musical family where he started playing the piano at
age five and later learned to play the saxophone. As a saxophonist he performed on the
South Carolina State University Marching 101 and concert bands. After graduating he
studied applied piano at Berklee College of Music, Boston, MA. While there he formed the
group ‘The Sound of Essence”. He performed for a short stint with the group in
Atlanta. Later he co-founded the Uptown Entertainment Band, performing with them for ten
years. Under his leadership Uptown opened for National recording artist Najee, performed
with National recording artist Theo Peoples of the Temptations, Will Downing and produced
their self titled CD, UEB. Musically, Infinity Show Band is his passion. He coined the
phrase, The PDO Concept; Professionalism, Dependability and Outstanding Performances,
which is a major factor for the band’s success. He is the driving force behind the
energetic Infinity Show Band. Musically he is influence by Herbie Hancock, Red Garland and
Dizzy Gillespie. Our goal is simple…To be the best band in the Southeast! |
