Sean Barnave - Vocal Director, Vocalist and Keyboard Bassist
AKA The Buddha Man, Sean has been playing piano since Age 19, when he first discovered
that he had perfect pitch. While attending Morehouse College he had the honor of
performing with the legendary Jazz Trumpeter, Wynton Marsalis. His Influences are Earth,
Wind and Fire, Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder and Patrice Rushen. He currently serves as
Director of Multimedia at the Ray of Hope Christian Church. A Professional Sound Designer
by Trade, Sean’s past accomplishments include: Festival Sound Designer for Larry Leon
Hamlin’s 2001, 2003, 2005 & 2007 National Black Theater Festivals, Winston-Salem;
Sound Designer for Jomandi Productions’ Black Nativity, Ain’t Misbehavin’
Sound Designer for True Colors Theater Company’s The Wiz as directed by Kenny Leon in
2004 & 2005, Sound Designer for 7 Stages’ World Premiere of Come On In My Kitchen
by Robert Earl Price, and many other productions. He is currently Sound designing,
Gee’s Bend, an Atlanta Premiere which opens November 2007 at The Balzer Theater At
Herren’s, the first ‘Green’ performance venue in the country.
